When Looking For A Computer Is The Acer Notebook The Right One

By Penelope Barracuda Xavier

One computer that is taking the market by storm because of its capabilities and price is the Aspire One Notebook. To provide you with information to help you make the right choice, we are going to list the good and bad points of this computer. We will not make comparisons between this notebook and it's much more expensive counterparts including the Mac Notebook and specifically only focus on its own intrinsic value.

For someone looking for a second or backup computer, the Aspire One may be the ideal choice. You may typically operate on your principle pc, but every so often you may require a model with more adaptability. If you usually use your lap or desktop, but occasionally need something a little more lightweight, this notebook may be just what you need. As a second computer, however, or for someone who handles most of their computing tasks on a smart phone (which more and more people do), the Aspire One might be just the backup that you need.

While the Aspire One was originally released as an extremely low cost notebook, as you might expect, Acer has come out with a flashier, higher priced version. One possible alternative is the Aspire One Happy Notebook that has an operating system used by both Android and Windows 7. Bright and beautiful, most Acer notebooks that are from the Happy line are colorful and attractive. The price tag is also higher; whereas the original Aspire One models can be found for around $250, you'll have to pay about twice that for an Aspire One Happy. This type of operating system, however, does not work very well because it was originally designed for the Android phones. The OS of this Acer computer may be upgraded to make it much more useful.

If battery life is a concern, the Acer Aspire One may not be your best choice if you're looking for extended battery life. Lightweight and designed for business travel, this computer will serve your needs by allowing you to check your e-mail and client websites on the go. If you do a lot of spreadsheet work, this computer will help you accomplish what you need to do while you are in transit from location to location. If, however, you want to watch blockbuster movies or play game with lots of fancy effects where you can see and hear everything perfectly, this model may disappoint you.

When looking at the Aspire One computer, it is clear that there are many positive reasons to get it, yet there are also negative elements pertaining to this notebook computer. Despite its low price, it is equipped with many of the attributes necessary to do essential computing such as surfing the web, preparing documents, and storing your music and files. If you are looking for something at the most competitive price possible, with all of the capabilities that you may be looking for, the Acer Aspire One may be good for you.

Obviously, getting a brand new computer means you'll be able to hook up all your gadgets to it. Check with your personal computer store to find out more.
